Wash mangoes thoroughly under running water. Peel the mango skin with a knife or peeler. Cut the mango flesh from the pit and discard it.
To mix the mango, cut it into chunks and place them in a blender or food processor. If you want a sweeter juice, add some sugar at this step. Begin with a spoonful and adjust to your taste preferences.
Add water to the blender with the mango pieces. The amount of water use dis determined by how thick or thin your juice should be. For a thicker juice, use less water; for a thinner juice, use more water.
Blend mango chunks and water until smooth. You may also add ice cubes to the blender to make your juice colder and more refreshing.
Optional: Strain juice through a fine mesh screen or cheesecloth to remove fibers and pulp. This step is optional, however some people prefer the texture that pulp gives to their juice.
Pour freshly blended mango juice into glasses and serve immediately. For added taste and presentation, top with a slice of mango or a sprig of mint.
Relax and enjoy your wonderful homemade mango juice!
Feel free to modify the sweetness and consistency of the juice to your liking. You can also try adding additional fruits, such as pineapple or banana, for a varied flavor profile.
