French Toast Recipe

Ingredients

  • Gather the following items before we begin cooking: bread slices, preferably thick and a little stale.
  • 2 huge eggs
  • 50 ml of whole milk
  • Vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon
  • 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
  • A dash of salt
  • (For lubricating the pan: butter or frying spray)

Instructions

  • Creating the Egg Combination
Use the methods below to make the ideal egg combination for your French toast:
    - Crack the eggs,
Crack the eggs into a small basin, then whisk the yolks and whites together until well blended.
    - Include Milk
Pour in the milk, using about half a cup for each pair of eggs. The milk balances the flavours and gives the French toast more depth.
    - Vanilla and cinnamon flavour
To the egg and milk mixture, add a dash of vanilla essence and some ground cinnamon. The scent and flavour of the French toast are distinctive thanks to these additives.
    - Sprinkle with a little salt
Don't forget to season the meal with a dash of salt to improve the flavour all around.
  • Making the Bread
For the finest French toast experience, the bread selection is crucial. Thick pieces of day-old bread, challah, or brioche all work well.
    - Slice the bread,
Slice the bread into substantial pieces that are about aninch thick. This guarantees a hearty and pleasant mouthful.
    - Soak the slices of bread
Make sure both sides of every slice of bread are well covered with the prepared egg mixture. Give the bread a moment or two to soak up the flavours.
  • Cooking the French toast,
It's time to cook the French toast to perfection now that your bread is ready.
    - Warm the pan up
A fast spray of cooking spray or a little amount of butter should be added to a non-stick pan or griddle before heating it up.
    - French toast should be prepared.
Slices of moistened bread should be placed carefully intothe heated pan. It takes around 2-3 minutes to cook each side until it gets agorgeous golden brown.
    - Remain Warm.
While you cook the remaining pieces, move the finished French toast to a platter and cover it with foil to keep it warm.
  • Serving Concepts
It's time to serve and sav our this delicious morning delight now that your French toast is done.
    - Traditional Toppings
